The Rx.com Mod Team has created this Service Play sub-forum in order to supply an area for Rx Service Play Posters to expand upon their posting topics without creating a logjam in the main forum where the three principle threads are maintained..

Posters can track services here if they care to but we will need any trackers to do so in an accurate and civil manner. We did not create this area for posters to ridicule or bash any services..

You can also discuss who is hot and who is not. The general state of the pay for plays industry and any other subject or topic related to service plays.

You can also create individual threads about specific services and discuss them freely but civilly. Again bashing and abusive treatment of any services will not be tolerated.

Please remember, this forum is not here for regular posters who cap their own games to post ther daily plays. Please use our individual sport forums to post your plays. Professional cappers (those that sell plays) must remain in the Site Promotion Forum.

The Rx.com will not tolerate posters that post false records of any services they track. Please be truthful if you decide to track a particular service.

Lastly The Rx Moderators are appealing to you our everyday posters to report any promotional threads or posts that are made by services or individual touts. No links or contact information to an individual service will be allowed. Just the name of the service. Please report any threads or posts that are promotional attempts by services and touts to use this forum to promote themselves..

Posters can easily report a promotional post by using the triangular Report-a-Post Icon at the bottom left of all post boxes. The poster name of any poster who reports a post that is out of line will be kept strictly confidential.

I will leave this thread open for a month to take questions and do my best to answer them. I will check in daily but am off on Wednesday and Thursday.

I hope this additional Service Play Forum will satisfy those posters that would like to widen the scope of topics relating to service plays and the industry in general to have their own threads. Mods will be liberal as possible regarding topics but this forum was specifically created to allow you more freedom to express your ideas regarding service plays and related subject matter. No off topic threads will be allowed.

Thank you, wilheim

Heat at Mavericks: What Bettors Need To Know

Miami Heat at Dallas Mavericks (-3, 186.5)

THE STORY: The Miami Heat needed a clutch Chris Bosh basket to avoid squandering another double-digit lead in the NBA Finals. Thanks to Bosh's heroics, Miami carries a 2-1 series lead into Game 4 against the host Dallas Mavericks, and can take a stranglehold on the best-of-seven with a victory Tuesday night.

TV: 8 p.m. ET, ABC, TSN

ABOUT THE MAVERICKS: Dallas has had a double-digit comeback in every series so far in the postseason, and nearly staged another in Game 3. Down by as many as 14 points, the Mavericks stormed back to tie the game late. Dirk Nowitzki, who had a game-high 34 points in defeat, had one final chance to send the game to overtime but his mid-range jumper was off the mark. Taking better care of the basketball will be paramount in the Mavericks' minds entering Game 4. Dallas is a -11 in the turnover department so far in the series and, while many of those can be attributed to Miami's suffocating defense, several others are the result of sloppy play by the Mavericks.

ABOUT THE HEAT: Miami's poor shot selection and decision-making cost the team down the stretch in Game 2. While it wasn't much better in Game 3 - the Heat led by seven points midway through the fourth quarter but gave it all back - Bosh came through for the first time in the series, burying a 16-foot jumper with 39 seconds left for the go-ahead points. Dwyane Wade had 29 points and 11 rebounds and was by far the best player on the Heat roster, taking over the scoring load while Bosh (7 for 18 from the floor) and James (6 for 14) struggled. Mario Chalmers was also a factor, hitting four 3-pointers in a reserve role.

WHO'S NOT/WHO'S NOT: James is averaging just over 20 points against Dallas, well below his totals over the Heat's first three playoff encounters. The Dallas bench shot just 8 for 24 in the Game 3 loss and is at a paltry 30 percent (20 for 66) in the series.

KEY STATISTIC: 13 - The number of points scored by Dallas reserve J.J. Barea in the series. The speedy guard is shooting just 5 for 23 from the floor, including 1 for 8 from long range.

LAST WORD: "You should watch the film again and see what I did defensively, and you ask me a better question tomorrow." - James responding to a reporter who suggested he had failed to impress through the first three games of the series.

PICK 'N' ROLL

Tuesday's Best NBA Bet

Miami Heat at Dallas Mavericks (-3, 186.5)

So what happened to that amazing Dallas bench? The Mavericks’ reserves aren’t producing buckets like the unit had all season and during the first three rounds of the playoffs.

Peja Stojakovic isn’t canning his open looks, J.J. Barea isn’t wreaking havoc in the paint and Brendan Haywood is rocking the Armani suits instead of high top Nikes because of a hip injury.

Even the Mavs’ super sub, Jason “Jet” Terry, isn’t carrying the load, especially in the fourth quarter when Dirk Nowitzki needs his help the most.

"They keep sticking him [James] on Jet in the fourth quarters and he's been doing a good job," Nowitzki told ESPN Dallas. "Jet hasn't really been a crunch-time, clutch player for us the way we need him to."

Terry was 0-of-4 from the field in the fourth quarter of Sunday’s Game 3 loss to the Heat but promising to be a bigger factor on Tuesday.

"It's a call to arms. One man's not going to win it," Terry said. "Obviously, the big-wig [Nowitzki] is going to need to get some help, and I'm going to tell you this -- that we will be there in Game 4."

We’ll bet on D-D-Dallas and the Jet to bounce back too.

Tuesday’s Streaking And Slumping Starting Pitchers

STREAKING

Kevin Correia, Pittsburgh Pirates (8-4, 3.40 ERA)

Correia became the MLB’s first pitcher to record eight wins this season and has now won each of his last three outings, posting a 1.80 ERA along the way.

He isn’t completely unhittable though. Correia has only 10 strikeouts over his last three starts and has sat down just 34 batters in about 76 innings of work to date.

That said, the 30-year-old can really paint the corners and hasn’t walked more than two batters in a game this season.

Felix Hernandez, Seattle Mariners (6-4, 3.04 ERA)

If he’s on your fantasy club, you might be looking for a bit more from King Felix, but you can’t complain about his consistency. Hernandez has held his opposition to two or fewer runs in 10 of his 13 starts.

He also leads the AL with 92 strikeouts on the year and just sat down 11 Rays while allowing a single run on five hits in a seven-inning gem the last time he took the hill.

Hernandez hasn’t been much of a cash cow for bettors so far this year but you can currently get him around -115 on the road against the White Sox on Tuesday.

SLUMPING

Doug Davis, Chicago Cubs (0-4, 5.95 ERA)

When the Cubs picked up Doug Davis, they hoped he would be a solid lefty that would fill out the back end of their rotation and, if nothing else, provide some consistency.

While he’s been consistent, it hasn’t been the kind of consistency the team is looking for. Davis is still winless in a Cubs jersey and owns a 7.36 ERA over his last three starts.

He had a terrible time just getting the ball over the plate before his last outing, but didn’t walk a batter in that 3-1 loss to Houston. Davis did give up all three runs on eight hits though.

Kyle Drabek, Toronto Blue Jays (3-4, 4.69 ERA)

Well, at least Drabek heads into this start well rested.

He lasted just 2/3 of an inning while giving up four runs as the Jays dropped a crazy 13-9 game to Cleveland.

“This is absolutely the worst start I've ever had," Drabek told reporters following the game. "Never in my whole life have I never gone at least an inning. It's just one of those things I have to forget about… I believe in my stuff, I can't hit my spots right now."

The good news for Jays fans is that the club has managed to win eight of his 12 starts, but it’s tough to get behind a 4.69 ERA.

HOT LINES

Tuesday's Best MLB Bets

Boston Red Sox at New York Yankees (-110, 9.5)

A lot has changed since the last time the Red Sox visited the Bronx.

The last time Boston invaded the Big Apple, the club was still scuffling along at the bottom of the AL East standings. Now the Red Sox trail the division-leading Yankees by just a single game.

Boston’s pitching and defense has been a lot better, but the big reason for the turnaround has been the offensive surge. Jacoby Ellsbury is a big part of it.

Since moving Ellsbury from near the bottom of the order to the leadoff spot, the Red Sox have scored a MLB-leading 214 runs while going 26-15. Meanwhile, Ellsbury is making a push for an All-Star spot by leading the league with 22 stolen bases to go along with a .288 batting average and six home runs.

Jon Lester hasn’t been terrific over the last little while and he shares the hill with Freddy Garcia for Game 1.

Expect some fireworks.

PICK: Over

Arizona Diamondbacks at Pittsburgh Pirates (+105, 7.5)

You couldn’t blame Justin Upton for being a little hot by the time the Diamondbacks finished a four-game split with the Washington Nationals on Sunday.

Upton was hit with four pitches during the series while also contributing four hits, but despite some drama late in the series, he wasn’t much of a factor in Sunday’s 9-4 loss. Arizona had a great chance to take the series by battling back to tie the game 4-4 before the Nats erupted for five runs in the ninth.

So the Diamondbacks enter this game a little frustrated and looking for their seventh straight road win, but the Pirates could be a tough test.

They took two out of three from the Phillies and now have a red-hot Kevin Correia on the hill Tuesday.

"It was a great series for our ballclub and the city," Pirates second baseman Neil Walker told reporters. "We played hard and played well against the team with the best record in the league in front of three great crowds. It's something to build on."

PICK: Pirates

Tuesday’s Betting Tips: Rays Hit By Flu Bug

Who’s Hot

NBA: Dallas is 9-3 against the spread in its last 12 home games.

MLB: The over is 13-6-2 in the last 21 meetings between the Red Sox and Yankees.

MLB: Arizona is 18-5 in its last 23 overall.

Who’s Not

NBA: The over is 3-7 in the last 10 meetings between the Mavs and Heat in Dallas.

MLB: Oakland is just 2-9 in its last 11 road games.

MLB: The New York Mets are 3-8 in their last 11 meetings with Milwaukee.

Key Stat

52 percent - For everyone who questioned LeBron James’ effectiveness in the crunch, he is proving them wrong this spring. With Miami trailing by 1-3 points, James has hit 13 of 25 trey attempts (52 percent) in the 2011 playoffs.

Game Of The Day

Miami Heat at Dallas Mavericks (-3, 186.5)

Injuries That Shouldn’t Be Overlooked

B.J. Upton, Evan Longoria, Tampa Bay Rays – Both Upton and Longoria sat out Monday’s game against the Los Angeles Angels with a flu bug. Longoria was supposed to make his return to the lineup after missing Sunday’s game with a sore left side.

Notable Quotable

"I need to be able to go out there and feel like I can play a normal game or at least at 70 or 80 percent. If I feel I'm pulling something or something's straining on every play I probably don't need to be out there. We'll see how it goes." - Dallas Mavericks center Brendan Haywood about his status for Tuesday's game after missing Game 3 with a right hip flexor injury. Haywood, who is listed as a game-time decision, is averaging 16 minutes of playing time behind starting center Tyson Chandler.

Notes and tips

Texas Rangers starter Matt Harrison plans to take the hill Tuesday against the Detroit Tigers despite the fact he still hasn’t passed a kidney stone. The 25-year-old was at a Cleveland hospital on Friday night and didn’t leave the team’s hotel on Saturday but said that he didn’t experience any pain during Sunday’s bullpen session.

Look out for Albert Pujols now, kids. Pujols hit four home runs in a weekend series sweep of the Chicago Cubs, including back-to-back game-winning homers. The veteran first baseman now has 13 home runs on the year, overtaking Lance Berkman for the team lead.

Former New York Giants wideout Plaxico Burress was released from jail on Monday and some books jumped at the opportunity to post odds on which team he will sign with. Philadelphia is favored to land the 34-year-old at +225, while the Jets (+350), Bears (+450), and Rams (+700) are also reportedly interested.

Hondo

Hondo treaded water last night as he hit with the Twins but whiffed with the Rangers to leave the debt holding firm at 1,105 pascuals.

Tonight, it's more of same for Mr. Aitch -- 10 units apiece on the Rangers and Twins.
